About MST

MST provides high quality and exciting training programmes which enable staff to become more efficient in their day to day work.

MST specialises in helping non-medically trained staff to understand medical terminology whether encountered through doctors’ reports, prescriptions or investigation results.

Our courses are aimed not only at those working in a health care environment but also those dealing with health care professionals including:

  • Medical Secretaries and Receptionists
  • Practice Managers
  • Health Care Assistants
  • NHS Managers
  • Non-executive Directors in NHS Trusts
  • Personal Injury Lawyers
  • Social Workers
  • Care Workers
  • Health Insurers

Our Approach

Our aim is not only to help course delegates to learn medical terminology but also to enable them to understand why the words mean what they do. This understanding of the structure of terminology greatly assists delegates in applying their knowledge to unfamiliar words encountered in the workplace.

All of our courses are classroom based and allow delegates to interact with relevant terminology. We use a variety of learning approaches including presentations, quizzes, games and group discussions.

We aim to ensure that all of our programmes are fun and varied and that delegates leave having had a good day as well as learning relevant and useful information.

We have trainers located across the country, all of whom have a healthcare background and are experienced at facilitating courses for a variety of audiences.
